Subject: 1.3K FA delivery delays
Hi guys,
we value your service through your EA forums and would like to bring you both up to date on the 1.3K FA delivery. I had a very good discussion with Gianfranco about this recently and want to share it with you.
First, before I address the delivery schedule, I'd like to address something else of importance. Some hams have expressed their concern about the delay as being possible financial problems in SPE. For some reason, they tend to connect it to the recent THP situation. Gianfranco assures me that it is just the opposite. In no way should SPE be thought of in the same way. That the company is very solid and is enjoying the acceptance of SPE's amps all around the world. In fact, the company is growing.
Second, the 1.3K FA is 99.99% ready to assemble. The delay is due to a couple of parts that were originally scheduled for arrival in mid November 2013. SPE expects that they will arrive later this month or by early May. Deliveries of 1.3K FA's are scheduled to begin by the end of June 2014. SPE plans to deliver over 200 units this year.
Even more good news is that Gianfranco will be present at the Expert Amps USA booths in Dayton and at the ARRL Centennial in Hartford. He will be demonstrating the new 1.3K FA at both events.
Also, another very positive note is that Gianfranco has been taking advantage of the parts delay to make more improvements to the 1.3K amplifier. He told me that it would take a hundred or so pages to describe all that has been accomplished during this time. In fact, the 1.3K will be a lot better due to the delay.
You have our permission to notify your forum members of the above. In the future, we will try to be more communicative with you both so that you can better inform your members.
Hopefully this information will give your forums additional creditability as being the vessels of information relating to the Expert Amps. You are providing an essential service to the ham radio community. And we want to thank you both, individually, for your devoted service to your forum and its members.
